Our school-wide “Terry Fox Run/Walk” is scheduled to take place on Monday, September 23rd, 2024.  The main purpose for participating in the Terry Fox Run is for our school community to support the work for cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation.  In addition, this is a wonderful opportunity to help build our school community as well as to contribute to our overall well-being.  We will be collecting donations on the day of our run but students can also bring donations throughout the week.  The Terry Fox Foundation issues receipts for donations of $20 or more.  If you wish to receive a tax receipt, please ensure you attach your name and address so the receipt can be issued to you.  Cheques can be made out to “The Terry Fox Foundation”.  Online donations can be made at our school fundraising page at the following link: https://schools.terryfox.ca/ChiefJusticeMilvain. Thank you for helping support the Terry Fox Foundation.  Feel free to join us and participate in our School Run/Walk if you wish.   

Overview with approximate times: 

9:30 Classes meet in the gym for a brief assembly 

9:30-9:45 Assembly 

9:45-10:30 Terry Fox Run/Walk 

Please note the following: 

- ensure that your child is dressed for the weather. 

- the run will take place unless the weather is very poor (Alternate day TBD).   

-TLC students may wear casual attire including CJM gear. 

-students may walk or run at their own pace. 

-Kindergarten students will remain on the school soccer field for their Terry Fox Run course.  

- school staff will supervise students at various locations along the route (sidewalks and walking path at top of hill)). 

-If you have any concerns about our Terry Fox Run/Walk then please communicate this with your child’s teacher.
