CJM families, thank you for another great year!

As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, our hearts are full. Each day with your children has been a gift—teaching them, learning alongside them, and celebrating who they are and who they are becoming. Their curiosity, kindness, humor, and resilience brighten our halls and remind us why the work we do matters so deeply.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. That trust is something we hold with great care. Your partnership, encouragement, and support make our school a place where students feel safe, valued, and ready to grow. Together, we have created a beautiful community where children are celebrated every day, and where their successes—big and small—are shared with pride.

We look forward to welcoming them back next year, watching them continue to grow, and celebrating all the moments still to come. For those families that will not be joining us next year, please take care and be well. We wish you the best life has to offer.

CJM staff wishes you a safe, and joyful summer break!

Summer Bucket List

Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to start a family summer bucket list! Grab a piece of paper (or the notes app!) and jot down all the adventures you want to squeeze in—big, small, silly, or sweet. Try to check off as many as you can before we’re back to school on August 31. Make memories, try something new, and enjoy every sunshine‑filled moment. Have fun and make it a summer to remember.

2026-2027 School Year

The first day of school for the 2026–2027 school year is August 31. Kindergarten staggered entry dates and times for August 31 and September 1 were emailed to families on June 25. Please see the attached calendar for the 2026–2027 CJM school year.

Families in the TLC program are reminded that students are expected to return in the fall wearing uniforms that follow school guidelines. Please ensure that all uniform pieces are in good condition and appropriately sized for the start of the school year.

Our office will reopen to families on August 26 at 9:00 a.m. Due to high call volume at the start of the year, we recommend emailing the office with questions chiefjusticemilvain@cbe.ab.ca . We will respond as quickly as possible. Office hours on August 26, 27, and 28 will be 9:00am-2:00pm.

CJM School Council Update

Casino fundraiser dates have been confirmed, and SCHOOL COUNCIL NEEDS YOUR HELP! Up to 40 volunteers will be needed! Please mark October 24th  & 25th on your calendar.

Outstanding Fees in MyCBE

Please take a moment to log into your MyCBE account to review and pay any outstanding school fees. Timely payments help ensure we can continue to provide the best possible resources and experiences for our students. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Extended Leaves and Vacations

Student attendance is very important, and when we return at the end of August we will be making decisions regarding TLC call‑backs and registration. If your child will be out of the country or away on an extended vacation, please be aware that this may affect their registration at CJM School. Attendance at school in those first weeks back is critically important. If your plans change over the summer and your child will miss the first days of school, please email our external mailbox to let us know.
